Queen Elizabeth and Elizabethan Period

Queen Elizabeth was 25 years old when she became Queen of England. 45 years of being a Queen ended with her death in 1603. She was well educated. She was tutored at her father's court by Roger Ascham, one of the the most outstanding scholars and thinkers of the age. Elizabeth taste in fashion set the standard for the rich people and for the rest of society. She loved music, drama, poetry. Which made many of England's greatest writers found encouragement. Poetry and drama was created durning the Elizabethan Period. Durning Elizabeth's leadership, England experienced a cultural reawakening of thought, art and vision. Her death marked the end of the tudor line and the glorious era in England history.
